GTM Quest is a London go-to-market agency for B2B teams selling into the Nordics.

We build the plan, the account lists and the outreach.

Where the work needs Swedish, Norwegian or Danish, we help you brief the right local agency.

01/ our service

Selling into the Nordics what GTM Quest does for you

We are based in London and do not pretend to be a Nordic agency.

What we do is the go-to-market work that decides whether a Nordic launch pays: who to target, what to say, how to reach them lawfully, and how to measure it.

01

A go-to-market plan for the Nordics

Which segments to enter first, which accounts are worth pursuing, and what you will say to them.

Written down in the first weeks while the first conversations run, and before any money goes on media or an agency retainer.

02

Account lists you own

Target accounts and the people in each buying group, enriched in Clay and held in a Postgres database that stays with you.

Built for the Nordics company data, not a UK list with the country changed.

03

Outreach that respects local rules

Email, LinkedIn and calls sequenced around what the the Nordics rules allow, not around the UK's corporate-subscriber exemption, which most of Europe does not have.

04

LinkedIn and founder-led content

Posts and paid LinkedIn aimed at the same account list, so outreach arrives from a name buyers have already seen.

English first, local language where it matters.

05

A local agency, briefed properly

Where the work needs Swedish, Norwegian or Danish copy, events or local PR, we write the brief, shortlist from agencies like those below and sit in the pitch with you, so you compare like with like.

06

A system you keep

Documented, trained and handed over.

The lists, sequences, dashboards and playbooks stay with you when the engagement ends.

The motion starts on day one through LinkedIn, content and warm introductions.

Email joins country by country, as each country's rules allow.

If you are selling into Finland too, see our Finland guide: the rules and the agency scene differ again.

02/ engagement

How we work with teams selling into the Nordics

Every engagement starts the same way: the motion on day one through LinkedIn, content and warm introductions, with the system built around it.

The difference is who runs it afterwards.

How much of your the Nordics go-to-market do you want to own?

Handover + support

We hand over, then stay close

Everything in Handover, then one or two days a week of senior help to optimise and troubleshoot.

  • ✓ Everything in Handover
  • ✓ Weekly optimisation
  • ✓ Deliverability monitoring
  • ✓ Local-agency briefing support

Best for teams building their own capability.

What it costs. Every engagement is scoped and quoted in writing after the discovery call.

Media, data and tools are separate lines.

More on the model: how we work as a GTM agency, our ABM agency London service, demand generation and lead generation.

03/ the market

How B2B marketing is bought in the Nordics three countries, one region

"The Nordics" is a convenient label and a risky plan.

Sweden has the largest business base: Statistics Sweden's register holds 1,804,297 enterprises, 44% of them limited companies.

Norway counted 656,492 active establishments at 1 January 2026, of which 987 employed 250 people or more.

Denmark had 414,663 active firms in 2024.

Each has its own language, its own regulator and its own agency scene.

Agencies do sell across all three, which is why they are grouped here.

But a campaign plan that treats the region as one market usually breaks at the first cold email, because the three countries answer the B2B consent question differently: Denmark most strictly, Sweden most loosely, Norway in between.

Most of the region's B2B agencies fall into three groups: HubSpot and marketing-automation partners (Structsales, Resultify, Helion B2B, Mindmill), brand and content specialists for technical companies (A plus M, Sköna, cylindr) and performance or search agencies that serve B2B alongside consumer brands (Precis, Synlighet, Solid Media).

A few sit closer to sales consultancy or outsourced sales than to marketing.

Radiant and Mindmill say so openly.

Trade bodies worth checking

Membership is not a quality mark, but it is a sign an agency is real and trading.

Sweden's is Komm, Sveriges Kommunikationsbyråer; Denmark's is Kreativitet & Kommunikation; Norway's is Kreativt Forum.

04/ the rules

B2B email in the Nordics Sweden, Norway and Denmark compared

The UK lets you email companies without consent.

Denmark does not; Norway draws the line at named people; Sweden protects only natural persons.

General information, not legal advice.

QuestionSwedenNorwayDenmark
The lawMarknadsföringslagen 19 §: consent needed to email a natural person (Riksdagen)Markedsføringsloven § 15: consent needed to email fysiske personer (Lovdata)Markedsføringsloven § 10: consent needed from anyone you email (Forbrugerombudsmanden)
info@ or sales@ addressNo consent rule for legal persons, but every email must carry a valid opt-out address, even to a companyAllowed: addresses that belong to no individual, such as post@firma.no (Forbrukertilsynet)Not allowed without consent: the ban applies whether the email goes to info@ or a named person (Forbrugerombudsmanden)
Named work addressTreat as a natural person: consent, or the existing-customer exceptionNot allowed without consent, e.g. ola.nordmann@firmaX.no, even if listed in the company register (Forbrukertilsynet)Not allowed without consent
Asking for consent by emailFor natural persons, consent must be given in advance (19 §), so not by a marketing emailNot allowed: you cannot email to ask for consent (Forbrukertilsynet)Not allowed: a consent request by email is itself marketing (Forbrugerombudsmanden)
Phone callsAllowed unless the person has clearly objected (19 to 21 §§)Consent rule does not apply to live phone calls (Lovdata)Calls to businesses generally allowed; sole traders are protected, and CVR contact details may not be used if the company is "reklamebeskyttet" (Forbrugerombudsmanden guide)
Existing customersOwn similar products, if they could opt out at collection and in every emailSame soft opt-in, own similar products onlySame soft opt-in, strict conditions

What this means in practice. A single Nordic sequence has to be built to the Danish rule, or split by country.

In Denmark the lawful order is usually phone or LinkedIn first, consent second, email third.

Norway's data-protection authority, Datatilsynet, adds that marketing to a named employee (navn@virksomhet.no) needs prior consent unless you already have a customer relationship (Datatilsynet).

Ask any agency to explain the lawful basis of the first email before you sign.

If they cannot, that is your answer.

05/ language

An English page is not an English agency how to tell the difference

Nordic buyers read English well.

In the EF English Proficiency Index 2025 Norway ranks 5th, Denmark 7th and Sweden 8th of 123 countries and regions, and the capitals score higher still: Copenhagen 644, Stockholm 633, Oslo 615 in EF's city table (EF EPI 2025 report).

That does not mean every agency works in English.

Several of the strongest B2B agencies in Norway (Inbound, Solid Media, Frank & Dick, Iteo) publish in Norwegian.

Sweden's Leadfront, Structsales and GO MO Group lead in Swedish; Denmark's Mindmill in Danish.

Those agencies will usually deliver in the local language too: fine if you have a local team, expensive if you do not.

The English-first agencies on this page are the ones whose English site is the canonical version, not a translation: Sköna, A plus M, Azide, cylindr, Helion B2B, Precis, Synlighet, MediaGroup Worldwide, Radiant and Resultify.

How to choose a B2B marketing agency in the Nordics five steps from abroad

The order matters.

Each step removes agencies that would have wasted a pitch meeting.

Write one brief and send it to everyone

Your ICP, the the Nordics segments you want first, the budget band, what you already run and what "good" looks like after six months.

Agencies quoting on the same brief can be compared; agencies quoting on a phone call cannot.

  • ✓ What you run today
  • ✓ The measure of success

11/ method

How this page was checked and what it leaves out

Every agency was re-read on its own website on 28 September 2026: homepage, and contact page where the city was not on the homepage.

Nothing comes from Clutch, Sortlist, GoodFirms or any other directory.

Where a site does not state a city, the card gives the country.

What is deliberately absent: a ranking (there is no comparable data to rank on), a regional price range (two agencies publish prices; the rest would be guesswork), and staff counts or awards the agencies' own current pages do not state.

Rules are summarised from the regulators' own guidance and are not legal advice.

Nordic B2B agency selection and local market-entry responsibilities

Practical guide · 01

Choose a country before choosing a Nordic campaign

The Nordics is a useful regional label, but your account list, language and buying process still need a country-level owner. Do not infer one uniform market from the label.

Your decision

Country-led

Choose the first market from reachable accounts, relevant proof and sales coverage. Review the local buying and distribution route.

Regional

Use a regional campaign where the segment and offer genuinely overlap. Keep country-specific evidence and follow-up visible.

Partner-led

A local partner may provide access or delivery knowledge. Define its role and who owns the customer relationship.

Practical guide · 02

A Nordic agency brief needs a language decision

Agree what is being adapted and who signs it off. An English-speaking delivery team does not automatically make English the right language for every buyer.

  1. 1

    Accounts

Separate headquarters, operating sites and purchasing locations. Assign one owner where several country teams touch the same account.

  2. 2

    Message

Test the commercial language with relevant buyers. Localisation includes the offer and evidence, not just translation.

  3. 3

    Follow-up

Specify language coverage, working hours, qualification and handoff. Verify outreach rules for the actual country and channel.

Practical guide · 03

Worked example: regional headquarters, local buyers

Fictional example: a software supplier targets a group headquartered in Sweden with operating teams in Denmark and Norway.

  1. Stage 101

    Map

Identify which decisions are central and which teams evaluate the product locally. Do not send three disconnected pitches to one group.
  2. Stage 202

    Adapt

Prepare group-level evidence and local implementation information. Give each contact the detail relevant to their role.
  3. Stage 303

    Coordinate

One account owner combines the responses and maintains country-specific next actions. Expand only where the evidence supports it.

Practical guide · 04

Separate location from coverage

A headquarters address does not establish delivery in every Nordic country.

Compare

Presence

Confirm the people and offices relevant to your brief.

Coverage

Confirm language, working hours and follow-up responsibility.

Practical guide · 05

Check where a reference transfers

A regional reference may still serve a different buyer.

Compare

Comparable

Match use case, purchasing structure and product maturity.

Different

Identify local questions the case does not answer.

Practical guide · 06

Keep group and site records distinct

One corporate group may contain several buying locations.

B2B marketing in the Nordics FAQ

What buyers ask before hiring a B2B marketing agency in Sweden, Norway or Denmark, and about the agencies on this page.

There is no fair single answer.

It depends on whether you need CRM work, brand, pipeline or media, and in which country.

Use the shortlist picker, then the agency list.

If you need the go-to-market plan across the region, that is what we do.

The website of Frank & Dick, a digital marketing agency in Oslo.

Its homepage describes it as a "digitalt markedsføringsbyrå i oslo" that helps mid-sized and large companies win customers through digital media (frankanddick.no).

The company trades as Frank & Dick.

It is in marketing and advertising services, as a digital marketing agency in Oslo.

Its homepage does not state a founding year, so we do not give one.

Only with prior consent.

Forbrugerombudsmanden says the spam ban applies to all recipients, including companies, and that it makes no difference whether the email goes to info@ or a named person (Forbrugerombudsmanden).

To generic addresses such as post@firma.no, yes.

To a named person's work address, no.

That needs prior consent, even if the address is in a company register (Forbrukertilsynet).

Live phone calls are outside the consent rule (Lovdata).

Sweden's consent rule protects natural persons (marknadsföringslagen 19 §), so marketing email to a legal person does not need prior consent.

But every marketing email must carry a valid address for opting out, including to companies (20 §).

GDPR still applies to named contacts.

Take local advice.

Usually both, in order.

A UK go-to-market partner can build the plan, lists and outreach in English; a local agency is better for language-dependent content, events and press.

Mostly, yes: Norway, Denmark and Sweden rank 5th, 7th and 8th in the EF English Proficiency Index 2025.
