B2B marketing agency UK Β· London Β· pipeline, not clicks
GTM Quest is a B2B marketing agency in London.
We run the parts of B2B marketing that turn into pipeline: account-based marketing, demand generation, lead generation and outbound and founder-led LinkedIn content.
All of it is aimed at the same accounts and running on a data layer you own.
We run it with you, or build it and hand it over.
Below the offer is an honest guide to choosing any UK B2B agency, and the specialists we point people to for the work we don't do.

01/ our service
Six parts, built to work together.
Each one points at the same list of accounts, so every channel warms the next.
01
Who buys, why they switch, and which accounts to pursue first, written down with sales, so marketing and sales chase the same companies.
02
Named-account programmes for the deals that matter most: account selection, insight, messaging and coordinated plays across LinkedIn, email and sales.
See ABM agency UK.
03
LinkedIn ads, useful content and events that build recognition in your market before anyone is contacted.
04
Signal-led cold email and LinkedIn outreach from protected domains and your team's own profiles, booking qualified meetings.
See B2B lead generation.
05
Posts and frameworks from the founder and team, planned around the buyer's problems.
So outreach arrives from a name the buyer already knows.
06
A Postgres campaign database above your CRM, enriched in Clay, with company-level website signals and reporting that ties activity to pipeline.
You keep it.
What we don't do. Brand identity design, large media-buying mandates, PR and analyst relations, and event production.
For those, the specialists further down are the people to brief.
Our guides to B2B brand, B2B advertising, B2B content and channel marketing explain what to ask them.
02/ engagement
All four start with the same set-up: ICP, positioning, data and the first campaigns.
The difference is who runs it afterwards.
How much of the marketing do you want to own?
Handover
We build the system (account lists, data layer, campaigns, content plan and reporting), then train your team and hand it over.
Best for teams with a marketer in-house to run it.
Handover + support
Everything in Handover.
Then a consultant stays on one or two days a week to optimise and troubleshoot.
Best for teams building their own capability.
Embedded
We operate the channels day to day (ABM, content, outbound and paid LinkedIn) and report on pipeline every week.
Best for teams without marketing bandwidth.
Scale
ABM, demand generation, outbound and content run together from one data layer, with more capacity and a dedicated team.
Best for teams ready to run several channels at once.
What it costs. Every engagement is scoped and quoted in writing after the discovery call.
Our fee, media spend, data and tools are separate lines, so you can see where the money goes.
Published prices from another UK B2B agency are in what a B2B marketing agency costs.
03/ the first 90 days
The first target accounts agreed with you, and the first content and conversations out the same day: founder and team LinkedIn, warm introductions and contacts you already have.
DAY 1Industries, company sizes, roles and buying triggers, agreed with sales, plus what a qualified opportunity is, so every report measures the same thing.
WEEK 1Accounts that fit, the people in each buying group, and the signals that say who is warming. Enriched in Clay, stored in Postgres, synced to your CRM.
WEEKS 1 TO 2Positioning turned into ads, posts, emails and sales talking points: one idea, told consistently across every channel, and tested in the first conversations.
WEEKS 1 TO 3Paid LinkedIn to the account list, then outbound to the accounts that engage as sending domains finish warming. Small batches first; scale what works.
WEEKS 2 TO 4Monthly: accounts engaged, meetings held, opportunities and pipeline created. Quarterly: what to stop, what to double.
MONTHLYThe timeline is an aim, not a promise; it depends on your market and sales cycle.
For the wider method, see how we work as a GTM agency.
04/ the category
A B2B marketing agency builds demand among other businesses rather than consumers.
That sounds like a small difference; in practice it changes how the work is built.
The buyer is a committee, not a person.
The purchase cycle runs in quarters or years, not minutes.
And the market is often small enough to name: a few thousand accounts, not a few million households.
Most of that market is not buying today.
Prof. John Dawes of the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute estimates that if firms switch a supplier around once every five years, only 20% are in the market over a year and around 5% in a quarter.
And he is explicit that "the 95% figure is not meant to be a precise rule".
Treat it as a reason to build recognition as well as capture demand, not as a statistic for a slide.
The practical consequence: a B2B marketing agency should be judged on pipeline influenced over quarters, not clicks bought this month.
And buyers are doing more of the work alone.
Gartner's March 2026 survey found 67% of B2B buyers prefer a rep-free experience, and 45% used AI during a recent purchase.
Your marketing has to reach them before your sales team can.
Demand generation builds and captures intent across content, paid media and search.
Account-based marketing targets a defined list of accounts rather than a broad audience.
Brand and creative covers positioning, identity and campaign ideas: the half of the budget that pays back slowly.
B2B PR and analyst relations earns coverage and analyst positioning, and matters most in enterprise technology.
Marketing technology covers HubSpot, Salesforce and marketing automation, attribution and revenue operations.
Most agencies are strong at two or three of these, not all five.
We lead with ABM, demand generation, outbound and content, and build the data layer they run on.
A B2B marketing agency owns the marketing function: demand, brand, content, media.
A go-to-market agency owns the whole commercial motion: positioning, ICP, channels, sales process and marketing together.
If campaigns are not producing pipeline, that is usually a marketing brief.
If you are not sure who you sell to or how, it is a go-to-market brief.
We work across both.
05/ the brief
Almost every "best B2B marketing agency" list is ordered as though one agency could be best for everyone.
None of them are.
Decide what the work is first, then read any list through that filter.
What do you most need in the next six months?
We do this
Signal-led outbound to a tight ICP, with LinkedIn and email from your team, booking qualified meetings.
This is core to what we run.
See B2B lead generation.
We do this
One-to-few and one-to-many programmes for high-value accounts, coordinated with sales.
We run ABM on the same data layer as everything else.
See ABM agency UK.
We do this
Paid LinkedIn, useful content and the founder's voice, so the market recognises you before sales gets in touch.
Specialist
Identity design, naming and rebrands are specialist work.
We write the positioning; brand studios design the identity.
Read our B2B brand agency guide first.
Specialist
Media and analyst relations are their own trade.
The PR-led agencies in the list below do this well.
Partly us
We build the campaign data layer and reporting.
For a large HubSpot or Salesforce implementation, a specialist partner may be better.
We will tell you on the call which you need.
This narrows the brief; it does not rank anyone.
If your answer is "all of these", start with the one closest to revenue.
06/ channels
Most people searching for a B2B digital marketing agency want the channels run well: LinkedIn, search, content, email and the website.
The channels do different jobs, and a good agency will say which job each one has in your plan.
Search harvests people already looking; the Advertising Association and WARC put search at 38.3% of all UK advertising investment in 2025, the largest single share, with social media at 24.7%.
LinkedIn builds memory among the people who will be looking next year.
Email and LinkedIn messages start conversations with accounts that fit.
Content gives all three something worth reading.
We run LinkedIn (paid and organic), outbound email and content, and we plan search with you.
For large paid-search or programmatic budgets we will point you to a specialist.
The rules and costs of paid media are in our B2B advertising guide.
In B2B, "social" mostly means LinkedIn.
The strongest organic results we see come from people, not company pages: a founder and two or three senior staff posting about the buyer's problems, consistently, for months.
We plan it, draft it with them and measure which accounts engage.
07/ the money
Most UK B2B agencies quote after a call.
These are the published figures we could trace, and the evidence on how to split what you spend.
Note the scope of the Gartner figure: its survey covered 401 CMOs across industries in North America, the UK and Europe, mostly at companies with over $1bn in revenue, not B2B alone.
The B2B split comes from a small sample of the IPA Databank, so treat it as a direction, not a target.
Retainer or project? A project suits a defined build: an ABM pilot, a data layer, a launch.
A retainer suits channels that improve month by month.
Whichever you choose, ask for fees, media and tools as separate lines, and a notice period both sides can use.
08/ build or buy
An agency is not the only answer.
The IPA's 2025 census counted 24,963 people in IPA member agencies, down 6.8% in a year, with creative and other non-media agencies down 14.3%.
Some of that capability has moved client-side.
β Most teams use both, in order: prove the channels with us, then hire into them with the playbook written down.
β They work well together: a fractional CMO sets direction and we run the system. See fractional CMO services.
β If you need a rebrand, PR and events as well, a full-service agency may suit you better. Several are listed below.
09/ the bit most lists skip
UK B2B marketing runs under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and the rules turn on who you contact, not on whether the address looks like a work address.
The ICO notes its guidance is under review after the Data (Use and Access) Act.
Who are you contacting?
How?
Allowed
PECR's electronic mail rule does not apply to corporate subscribers (companies, LLPs, Scottish partnerships). Say who you are, give an opt-out, and remember UK GDPR still applies to a named person's data.
ICO guidance β Β· Not legal advice
The ICO's rule of thumb: the PECR rule on marketing by electronic mail does not apply to corporate subscribers: companies, LLPs, Scottish partnerships and some government bodies.
Sole traders and other partnerships are individual subscribers and need consent or the soft opt-in.
And UK GDPR still applies whenever you hold a named person's details.
A private message on social media counts as electronic mail under PECR; a targeted ad in the feed does not.
Live calls must be screened against the TPS and Corporate TPS.
Ask any agency to explain this before you sign.
This is general information, not legal advice.
10/ the shortlist call
By the time you are choosing between two agencies, the decks look the same.
These are the checks that separate them.
01
They can name clients or buyers in your sector without checking notes, and they ask about your sales cycle before your channels.
02
The proposal matches the work you asked for, not the service they most like selling.
03
Names, roles and how much of their week is yours.
Junior delivery behind a senior pitch is the oldest complaint in the trade.
04
A written process for planning, approvals, escalation and reporting, and one person accountable.
05
The CAP Code requires marketers to hold documentary evidence before publishing a claim.
An agency that can't source its own pitch won't source your ads.
06
Accounts engaged, meetings held, opportunities and pipeline, not impressions and form fills alone.
07
They can explain corporate and individual subscribers without hedging, and show how objections are recorded across channels.
08
The data, the ad accounts, the creative and the domains stay with you when the engagement ends.
Get it in writing.
B2B marketing is regulated too.
The CAP Code's Appendix 1 says B2B marketing communications that breach the Code may be referred to Trading Standards under the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008.
And you can check any UK agency's filings, accounts and officers free at Companies House.
11/ sectors
A B2B technology marketing agency or B2B SaaS marketing agency deals with a particular shape of market: buyers who research alone, a free trial or demo in the journey, competitors emailing the same people, and a sales team that needs meetings with the right accounts, not more webinar sign-ups.
That is where most of our work sits.
For early-stage SaaS we usually start founder-led: the founder's name opens doors and the conversations shape the product.
For scale-ups, we add ABM to named accounts and a steady demand programme on LinkedIn.
We also work with B2B services firms, where the partners' own networks and reputations are the channel.
Complex and technical sectors (engineering, construction, manufacturing, professional services) reward agencies that understand the product well enough to write about it.
Several of the specialists below are built for that; ask any agency to show work in your sector.
12/ location
We are a London B2B marketing agency, and we work with teams across the UK, Europe and the US.
London has the largest concentration of B2B agencies and the deepest talent pool; it also tends to have the highest prices.
For most briefs, sector fit matters far more than postcode.
Good UK B2B agencies are based all over the country, and most work remotely with clients much of the time.
Choose for the work, then meet in person where it helps.
For context on the market every UK agency sells into: the ONS counted 2.73 million VAT and/or PAYE-registered UK businesses in March 2025, up 0.4% on a year earlier.

Real, trading B2B agencies, each re-checked on its own website on 28 September 2026.
What each does is in its own words, summarised.
This is not a ranking, and nobody paid to appear.
Earlier versions of this page listed Cognism (a sales-intelligence data platform) and Squiz (a digital experience platform vendor); neither is a marketing agency, so they are not here.
Check any agency's filings free at Companies House before you sign.
15/ abroad
If you sell into Europe, a local agency can matter more than a London one.
Our country guides are built the same way as this page: every agency read on its own website, and every absence stated rather than filled.
The one thing they answer that a UK list cannot is which agencies genuinely work in English.
Start with B2B marketing agencies in Poland for central Europe, or the Nordic market for Sweden, Norway and Denmark together.
There are separate guides for Italy, Spain, Belgium and Finland.

Choose a B2B marketing agency in the UK and define a commercial brief
Practical guide Β· 01
A B2B marketing agency brief should identify the constraint before the channels. Avoid buying more activity when the problem is the offer, qualification or sales handoff.
Suitable buyers do not know or understand the offer. Improve positioning, proof and distribution.
People enquire but are unsuitable or do not progress. Inspect the offer, qualification and follow-up before expanding spend.
The team cannot connect accounts, campaigns and opportunities. Fix measurement and ownership so decisions have evidence.
Practical guide Β· 02
Ask each supplier to answer the same brief. A longer deliverables list can hide missing ownership or running costs.
Define the segment, commercial problem, sales capacity and work your team will still own.
Separate labour, tools, data and media. Ask which recurring contracts remain after the supplier leaves.
Agree who reviews evidence and authorises a change. State what would cause the programme to stop or narrow.
Practical guide Β· 03
Fictional example: a UK technical supplier has increasing form submissions but no improvement in qualified opportunities.
Practical guide Β· 04
Industry labels alone do not explain demand.
Describe the problem, operating circumstance and current alternative.
State who cannot benefit or cannot be served.
Practical guide Β· 05
Attention should lead to useful buyer evidence.
Show the workflow and the assumptions behind claimed value.
Explain where another approach may fit better.
Practical guide Β· 06
Marketing and sales need a common decision boundary.
Specify account fit and the buyerβs actual problem.
Record a mutually agreed next step, not an automated score.
Practical guide Β· 07
A supplier exit should not erase the programme.
Keep tooling, domains and records in agreed owner accounts.
Document campaigns, integrations, running costs and maintenance.
Practical guide Β· 08
Make the question small enough to interpret.
Choose one segment, offer and leading distribution route.
Compare buyer evidence before widening activity or spend.

16/ questions
The questions UK B2B teams ask before they hire a B2B marketing agency, including us.
It builds demand among other businesses rather than consumers: demand generation, account-based marketing, brand and creative, B2B PR and analyst relations, and marketing technology.
